    the cover is amazing and halle is.. well, she's halle berry, which pretty much sums up anything you could ever say about her. but, your facts are just a little off on this one.

    it's not that halle's the first black woman to be on the cover of vogue since 1989. she's the first black woman on the vogue SEPTEMBER issue cover (only THE most important fashion issue of the entire year) since 1989.

    between naomi campbell being the first black september cover girl for vogue in 1989 and now (2010), you had oprah in november 1998, halle berry in december 2002, liya kebede in may 2005, jennifer hudson in february 2007, (while he may not be holding it down for the sistas, he's definitely holding it down for african americans).. lebron james in april 2008, michelle obama in 2009 (how can anyone forget her cover??), beyonce the month after that in april 2009.

    just clearing up a little gaffe. andre leon talley needs his credit when it comes to adding some color to the covers of vogue.
