Taking pics of yourself is such a fun girly thing to do and it can just give a boost to your self esteem and confidence.
You don't even have to share them, it can just be for you ;)

*dancing around to your favorite song in your underwear
*going through your closet and trying on your favorite outfit (even if you have no where to go)
*checking out your favorite angles in the mirror
*going over all the positive aspects of your life and why you love yourself

Can You Think Beyond Yourself?

I'm not saying you have to go this route, but please plan to do something this holiday. Instead of just getting or giving to those who have. Just a thought

other options, but a gift for a toy donations, take some cans to a food drive, volunteer at a soup kitchen, help out with meals on wheels or give some time or money to a church (they will know what to do with it)

Love Is A Verb

Making Love Stick

September 12/13: "Just Like the Movies"
Big Idea: LOVE is not a noun, it's a verb. It's an action, not a feeling.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34)
Summary:
We are equipped to fall in love, but we are not equipped to stay in love. For one, the feelings don't last. The "shelf life" on in-loveness is about 18 months according to the experts, so beyond that, what do we do?
“Love one another” sounds so basic, but more here than meets the eye: Jesus takes something that is a noun (love) and makes it a verb. We fall in love (noun) and Jesus tells us that the key to staying in love is to love (verb) one another.
You don't have to believe in Jesus spiritually to be compelled by the story of His life. His life was all about love. Jesus is the greatest lover of all time. We've got to start this series by asking ourselves, "Am I willing to take Jesus on as my love coach? As my role model for how to go about this crazy little thing called love. Am I willing to say, "When I fall in love, I'm gonna make love stick by loving him/her as He has loved me." Do we know how He has loved us? Is that real to us in a personal way? That's when it moves beyond coaching and input and strategy to something WAY deeper. In this service we'll help people consider Jesus as their counselor, role model, and personal director in areas of love. If I'm single, I listen to Him from now on. If I'm married, I listen to Him from now on. I take my cues from Him because He's not just the most loving person in the world, He's also the one who has loved me like He has loved me.

"She' Mine...So I Love Her!"

Working in retail I hear a lot of women complain. "Oh this is too big. I wish those were bigger, and this is too small" Not discussing the clothing but disappointment in their bodies. It doesn't stop there skin, hair and overall beauty included. I know sometimes we can be our own worst critic but constantly complaining is not the way to deal. Putting yourself down does not make you feel better and probably makes the people around you feel awkward too. Hey we are human we have flaws I get it. And it's not the easiest thing to change your way of thinking right away (I'm still working on it) but you have to start somewhere. My new motto is "She's mine so I love her" Flaws and all be happy, and love yourself. Life is way to short to be down about something. You don't want to look back years from now and remember how you didn't appreciate and love your self and body. If it is something you are truly unhappy with get off your hind parts and change it. No one can do it for you but you, and please don't do it for anyone else but you!

I love these Dove ads. I have to admit when I first saw them I was a little taken back. Only because my media eye had been train to only see certain things. Now I really appreciate the concept.

There are many body and variations. Find yours and look up tips to help you feel like your best self.
No matter your body type there are always ways to dress your self up fashionably and feel confident and sexy (does not mean skin tight and cleavage)
